Beliefs & aspirations

Hear from Head of School, Dan Sturdevant, and Founding Board Member, Heidi Tringali, speak about a brief overview of what The Oaks School has to offer.

We Believe

that God is the one true and living God and Creator of all things.

that the Holy Bible is the inerrant written word of God.

that God has entrusted us with the gift of His children.

that children are whole beings— mind, body, spirit and heart.

that schools and families are complimentary influences in a child's education.

that children thrive with smaller class sizes, shorter school days, and an age-appropriate curriculum.

that educators are gifted in training up children in the way they should go.

that continual learning should be a way of life.

that educators and families are in partnership to celebrate each child's gifts and to strengthen their areas of weakness.

that there is no "right way" to learn, rather that education should involve all of the senses engaged in an active and experiential environment

Hear from Founding Board Member, Erin Haneline, about our vision at The Oaks School

We aspire

For our students...

to seek, enjoy, and glorify Jesus Christ daily.

to honor their parents and serve their communities.

to see education as a lifestyle of learning that is created and cultivated first in the home.

For our students...

To be in the world, not of the world, and to excel in the areas of their calling.

To go into the world confidently using their unique gifts to glorify Him.

For our students...

To celebrate and respect the unique gifts of others.

To understand they are fearfully and wonderfully made, mind, body, soul, and heart.

To be salt and light to the world.
